Международное сопоставление, проводимое ООН на основе показателя ВВП (см. gross domestic product derivated from net material product), используемого для сравнения уровня экономического развития стран мира. Объектом обследования Проекта международных сопоставлений ООН (International Comparison programme) является валовой внутренний продукт, исчисленный методом конечного потребления. Его общая величина рассматривается как сумма расходов нации на товары и услуги, используемые для индивидуального потребления (individual consumption of population); коллективного потребления; формирования основных фондов для их прироста и взамен изношенных; увеличения материальных оборотных средств; чистого экспорта. Объем конечных расходов нации, исчисленный в международных ценах, называется реальной величиной ВВП, а их размер в национальной валюте - это его номинальная величина.
